THE COWDRAY GOLD CUP TOURNAMENT 2023

The Cowdray Gold Cup is played to decide the British Open Polo Championship and is the premier polo tournament in the world at 22 goal (High Goal) level. With all the international stars of the game in action in the incomparable setting of Cowdray Park’s famous ‘Lawns’, the event draws in polo aficionados from all over the globe.
Newcomers to polo could not have a more exciting introduction to the sport with 40+ high octane matches during the three-week tournament, starting on Tuesday 27th June and culminating in the thrilling Final on Sunday 23rd July.
The Semi-Finals of the Cowdray Gold Cup on Wednesday 19th July showcase two exhilerating matches which lead on to the much-anticipated Final on the following Sunday.
Itineraries (provisional)
Gold Cup Semi-Finals – Wednesday 19th July
11.30am – Cowdray Marquee opens with coffee and pastries
12.00pm – First Semi-Final begins
1.30pm – Presentation of prizes
1.45pm – Lunch is served with wines
3.45pm – Second Semi-Final match prepares to start
5.15pm – Presentation of prizes
Afternoon tea served during second match
6.30pm – Guests leave
Gold Cup Final – Sunday 23rd July
12.30pm – Cowdray Marquee opens with champagne reception and canapés
1.15pm – Guests seated for lunch
2.30pm – Professional Polo player talk
2.45pm – Guests take a seat in reserved grandstand adjacent to marquee
3.00pm – Game starts
Champagne service during the game in private grandstand area
4.45pm – Presentation of prizes
